To begin, we want to thank
Michele Bosworth for her YEARS (!!) of support; her responsive service, dedication,
and modeling accountability that we hold so dear. We wish you the best of luck, Michele, moving your full-time
focus to your family after June 1st, and especially beginning with
your European vacation!! Thank you so very much!
Excell is happy to
announce two new members to our team:
Stacey Romero, our new Director
of Member Services, and Deidre Silva, our new Marketing Assistant.
Stacey and Deidre have
already jumped in to work with Michele on the CEO Retreat operations as well as
with David and our marketing partner on our new website design. Please join me in wishing them
“Welcome”. Here’s more about
them:
Stacey Romero
As Director of Member Services at Excell Puget Sound, Stacey facilitates
the preparation process for each group's events in collaboration with group
leaders and members. Her goal is to ensure logistics play out smoothly so
that members can benefit from group participation without distraction.
She draws on her experience wearing multiple hats in her career, including
those of community organizer, technology implementer, language access agency
coordinator, immigrant advocate, union internal organizer, and interpreter.
Stacey also serves as the part-time Executive Director of Neighborhood Clinic in Tacoma. She finds the two roles
complement each other well, as she can utilize both experiences to improve her
efficiency and insight. Previous employers include OneAmerica...With
Justice For All, Community Health Care in Pierce County, Tacoma Community
House, and the Washington Federation of State Employees.
A Tacoma resident for the past ten years, she lives
with her husband and an audacious but affectionate cat. She enjoys vegan
cooking and claims the pressure cooker is the kitchen appliance that she can' t
do without. A dream for her future includes travelling North America by
electric RV!
Deidre Silva
After
15 years as a professional journalist and published author, Deidre is now with
Excell, as Marketing Assistant, in order to help the company manage its
website content and to expand its marketing and social media reach.
Deidre spent five years running her sports
publishing business and partnering with Major League Baseball teams across the
country. She gained experience in all aspects of business operations including
sales, marketing, writing press releases, managing website content, and negotiating
sponsorships. On those days she felt defeated, she tapped into an empowering
piece of advice once given her: “assume abundant value.”
Deidre was born outside Boston, raised inside the
D.C. Beltway, and became an adult in Seattle. She and her husband Michael live
in Madrona with their teenaged kids, Amelia and Tony, dog Lulu, and cats Weaver
and Eddie. A lifelong sports fan, Deidre has named every pet she’s owned
after Hall of Famers from the Baltimore Orioles organization. She has
degrees from both the University of Maryland and the University of Washington.
